Wendy McPherson
Wendy is the founder of Yaya Freeman Designs. She is a surface pattern designer, mixed media artist, printmaker and photographer creating calm, thoughtful artwork for fabric, stationery, homeware, wall art and commercial licensing.
A business graduate with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) Wendy brings strong commercial awareness, project management experience and a professional understanding of client service, quality standards and small business management to her creative practice.
Through Yaya Freeman Designs, she combines hand-drawn motifs, photography, painted textures, collage and digital pattern design to create grounded, expressive work for people, brands and businesses who value beauty, natural detail and calm in everyday spaces.
Whilst AI is not used to create original art work or patterns, Al-assisted mockups are used for visual context only; final production would be based on the original repeat pattern artwork and fabric specification.
